My NoteVault Terms of Use

These terms are a binding agreement between you and ZeengoCorp Innovations, Gurugram, Haryana, India, which develops and operates My NoteVault ("the App", "we", "us" or "our"). They cover the My NoteVault Android app and this website, mynotevault.in. By installing or using My NoteVault, or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1. Using My NoteVault

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use My NoteVault on devices you own or control. The terms of the store you installed it from (Google Play or the Samsung Galaxy Store) also apply. You must be old enough to accept these terms where you live; see the children's section of our privacy policy. We may change, suspend or discontinue My NoteVault, this website or any feature at any time, without liability to you.

2. Your content and your keys

• What you put in My NoteVault is yours. It stays on your device, and we have no access to it.
• You are solely responsible for your content, your backups and the security of your device, and for your vault passwords, your secret word and your recovery code. We cannot recover or reset them, because your keys are made from your password on your device and never reach us.
• Uninstalling My NoteVault deletes your vaults. Back up (Premium) or move your files out before you uninstall, reset or replace your phone.
• My NoteVault is not a backup service. Keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
• We are not responsible for any loss of access or data caused by a forgotten password, a lost recovery code, uninstalling the app, a lost, reset, replaced or damaged device, an operating-system change, or any other event outside our control.

3. Premium

• Premium costs $1.49 a month (in US dollars; your store shows your local price). It is billed by the store you subscribed through, and it renews every month until you cancel it in that store.
• If you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are handled by the store under its refund policy.
• Watching a rewarded ad unlocks every Premium feature for one hour, without a subscription.
• We may change Premium's features or price. Price changes follow the store's rules, including any notice or consent it requires.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use My NoteVault to store or share content that is illegal where you live, to break the law, or to harm others. Do not try to disable the app's ads or security checks, reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it, or distribute modified copies of the app. You are solely responsible for the content you store and for following the laws that apply to you.

5. Ads and third-party services

The free version shows ads. Ads, analytics, crash reporting, billing and integrity checks are provided by third parties, as our privacy policy explains. Their own terms and policies apply to their services, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, My NoteVault and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that My NoteVault will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, that it will meet your needs, or that any data will be preserved or recoverable. Our security page describes how My NoteVault protects your data, but no software protects against every risk: a phone that is unlocked and in someone else's hands, malware, or a modified or rooted device can expose what is on it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ZeengoCorp Innovations and its founders, employees, contractors and successors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, profits, revenue, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or related to My NoteVault, this website or these terms, however caused and even if we were told such loss was possible. Our total liability for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

Some places do not allow these exclusions or limits, so they apply to you only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZeengoCorp Innovations and its founders, employees and contractors from any claims, losses, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use or misuse of My NoteVault, or your breach of these terms or of the law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The "Effective" date at the top shows the current version. Where the law requires notice, we will give it in the app or on this page. If you keep using My NoteVault after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts at Gurugram, Haryana, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to My NoteVault, this website or these terms, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

11. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term, that is not a waiver. These terms, together with our privacy policy and the terms of the store you installed from, are the entire agreement between you and us about My NoteVault. We may transfer these terms and our rights under them, including to a buyer of My NoteVault; you may not transfer yours without our written consent. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
