My NoteVault help and support
Answers to the questions people ask most, and how to reach us.
Contact the My NoteVault team
Email contact@zeengocorp.com. We answer in English.
Reporting a bug? Include your phone model, your Android version and your My NoteVault version (long-press the Notes icon, then tap App info). Never send your password or recovery code: we will never ask for them.
Common questions
I forgot my vault password. Can you reset it?
No, and nobody can. My NoteVault makes your vault's key from your password on your phone and never sends it to us. Use the recovery code or recovery kit you saved at setup. Without the password or the code, the vault cannot be opened.
How do I move my vaults to a new phone?
Vaults do not sync, because My NoteVault has no cloud copy. With Premium, use vault backup and restore. On the free version, move files in encrypted transfers of up to 10 files and 100 MB each. Opening transfers on the new phone is always free.
Will uninstalling My NoteVault delete my files?
Yes. Vaults live in My NoteVault's private storage on your phone, and the app opts out of Android's cloud backup, so uninstalling removes them for good. Back up or move your files out first.
How do I change how ads are personalized?
In My NoteVault, open the menu, then Help & Support → Ad privacy choices. You can also reset your advertising ID in Android settings, or remove ads with Premium.
How do I cancel Premium?
Cancel in the store you subscribed through, not in the app. The steps for Google Play and the Galaxy Store are on the pricing page.
Does My NoteVault sell my data?
No. We do not sell personal data for money. Ad, analytics and crash-reporting services receive standard device data, never your notes or files. The privacy policy lists each service.
Is My NoteVault on iPhone?
No. My NoteVault is an Android app, on Google Play and the Samsung Galaxy Store, for Android 7.0 and newer.
How do I report a security problem?
Email contact@zeengocorp.com with "Security" in the subject line. Describe what you found and how to reproduce it. Please give us a chance to fix it before you share it publicly.
